Focus On: Toyota

This month, in our Focus On feature, we’re taking a look at vehicle manufacturer Toyota. Relaunched in 2016 with a new look and a renewed focus on offering the ‘every van’, Toyota’s commercial van offering is small but mighty!

bott Smartvan currently offer a varied range of solutions for Toyota PROACE models. Read on to find out what other Toyota owners have used to kit out their mobile workspace.

Which Toyota models can I rack out?

The range of Toyota commercial vans is, admittedly, a small one, only bringing a single model to the market. Relaunched in 2016, the new range of PROACE van models was designed to be more comprehensive and to meet a wider variety of professional needs.

The PROACE comes in three lengths – Compact, Medium and Long – which are all supported by a comprehensive and customisable bott Smartvan racking system.

Top modules for the Toyota PROACE

The new PROACE range has introduced an innovation in the commercial vehicle segment. The PROACE Compact – measuring in at 4.6m long and with a 5.1m3 load capacity – is the shortest vehicle in the Medium Duty Vehicle segment yet. So, while it may look small, the Compact actually offers the footprint of a large compact van and the cargo capacity of a much bigger medium-sized van. Combine this impressive capacity with a smart storage system, such as a bott Smartvan racking kit, and you’ve got a spacious, practical workspace that can help you to achieve your business goals.

Here are our customers’ top modules for the Toyota PROACE:

Module 401 – This module, installed on the nearside of the van, offers a huge amount of flexibility. The module’s four full-length shelves come in a variety of depths – from 125mm to 325mm – for optimum storage.

To maximise the versatility of the shelf space, you can opt to add our Recommended Accessory Kit to the module which includes anti-slip mats and moveable metal shelf dividers to create compartments in the trough shelving and ensure that your kit is always in its rightful place, making it quick and simple to monitor and manage stock levels.

Module 509 – Module 509 is perfect for tradesmen who need to carry a lot of expensive power tools. This module allows you to store three of your own power tool cases in easily accessible brackets which help to keep your valuable tools safe, secure and undamaged in transit. And there’ll be no digging around for them at the end of a long working day – you can achieve peace of mind by knowing exactly where they are when you need to remove them from the van.

Six additional galvanised shelves – including three deep 325mm shelves – at the rear provide even more opportunities to customise your storage for the parts you need to carry day-to-day.

Kammbar® Roof Rack – bott Smartvan are thrilled to be able to offer van-specific roof rack solutions from market leader Rhino Products as part of our complete van storage range. The KammBar® provides both strength and practicality, allowing you to expand your storage outside of the van for longer items such as beading, ladders or piping; especially in shorter length vans such as the PROACE Compact. The Kammbar Roof Rack is manufactured from anodised aluminium and coated with an anti-corrosive finish that prevents rusting and weathering.
